On April 22, 2001, the “Kodai Hasu Kaikan” (Ancient Lotus Hall) was opened in Kodai Hasu no Sato. The tower standing within the park serves as its landmark. The nickname “Kodai Hasu Kaikan” was chosen through a public competition held in July 2000.

Furthermore, the hall introduces the nature of Gyoda. The second-floor observatory provides a panoramic view from a height of 50 meters, allowing visitors to admire the surrounding mountains that encircle the Kanto Plain.

The importance of Lotus in the Indian culture is also explained and its presence on the Ashok Stambha is also recorded at the facility.
