Nirvanam Ariake : Indian restaurant in the Odaiba area

We had covered the South Indian restaurant Nirvanam based in Kamiyacho a couple of months back. Nirvanam has expanded to one more location and its in the Odaiba neighborhood, closer to the Ariake Station on the Yurikamome Line or Kokusai-Tenjijo on the Rinkai Line.

A better menu!, great ambiance, more floor space and a big screen projecting Bollywood songs, Nirvanam Ariake is a good addition to the many Indian restaurants which have sprung up in the city in the past few years.
Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoThe restaurant is quite spacious and is located a five minute walk from the Rinkai Line Ariake Station, in the TOC Ariake Building. There is parking on the third floor, same as that of the restaurant. On weekends, parking space is ample (unsure about weekdays) and also the day I went there was no major event at the nearby Kokusai Tenjijo facility either. You can seen the screen projecting songs on the left of the below image. Bollywood songs primarily keep for good entertainment.

Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoOrdered a beans salad for enough protein to start the dinner. The Garbanzo bean salad is my favorite. Goes great for even breakfast time for me.
Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoThe South Indian soup Rassam was an obvious choice. Hot, spicy, sour and this is one thing which makes me come to Nirvanam time and again.

Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoGood collections of drinks, if you are inclined to go the alcohol way. Me, not been on it for years now and don’t intend to restart either. Thanks but no thanks!
Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoOrdered a Vegetable Tikki, chat appetizer and it tastes great. An occasional bit of chilly spices things up perfectly and the curd can tone down the level if required. Love it.
Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoFor the main course, went with the Kerala Porata (Parotha?) and the Kerala Chicken curry my favorite at this restaurant. The menu is quite diverse, I just ordered my regular dishes.

Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoThe entrance decor is really gorgeous. Amazing to see this one, must have been quite an effort to get this piece to Japan from India all along.
Nirvanam Ariake, Indian restaurant in TokyoOn the way back took a small ride on the Yurikamome train and passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Notice the small Yurikamome on the right side making its way to the entrance of the Rainbow Bridge. Nirvanam Ariake is a great addition to the neighborhood. Kamiyacho is far from Nishi Kasai, where I stay, but Ariake is a 15 minute drive on the Wangan side and a great place for me and family to hangout on weekends. I will keep going frequently to this one!

I was a regular visitor to Nirvana Kamiyacho during my stay there between 2004 -07. Besides being walking distance from office, the food there was excellent. Despite being a vegetarian, I had good choices even during buffet lunch and in the evenings it was great to select from the menu. The hospitality extended by Veena-san was excellent and even during busy lunch time she always managed to give me my favorite salted lassi. I wish them greater success in this new venture.

Thanks! I echo the feedback on even buffet lunch which tends to be good choices at Nirvanam. My personal wishes to Veena and Anil san too.
