Super Mario food menu at the Shibuya Tower Records Cafe

I AM A SUPER MARIO FAN, well, a drop in the ocean of fans of this game from Nintendo.
As I wrote a few days back that Tower Records is collaborating with Nintendo in their 30th Anniversary year for Super Mario franchise to launch a campaign “limited edition Super Mario Bros. x Tower Records Cafe” event going on between June 22 and and July 5, I went to Tower Records Cafe’s are located in Shibuya.

The entrance itself tells you what to expect, a Mario theme around the “No Music No Life”. The retro themed Mario character at entrance also has a giant screen playing in the background Super Mario themed adverts, showcasing the 30th anniversary of the game. Interesting to see the entire entry facade to be Mario-themed, and adding cute Mario pixel art there.

Ignoring the Super Mario goods for now, went to the cafe to take a look at the menu there… I wanted my Mario Latte, not had coffee since morning…

Early in morning the cafe opens at 10:00 a.m. and you can visit it even late until 23:00 in the night.

Without any further wait, went for the Mario Latte and a cake separately. If you order a set menu you will qualify to receive a Mario character figure (total 8 characters, Luigi, Princess, Bowser, etc..)

We also tried the Banana Block Tira Misu with a question mark painted on top of itWe did not try the blue color drink,  The Underwater Stage Drink!!!!  though…

The character of Mario is drawn in its retro form correctly on top, and I recognised it without any issue, but my wife (no a Mario fan) was like, “hey, this does not look like Mario”..whatever….
